The California Wildlife Conversation Deck is a blend of art and education designed to foster meaningful connections and a curiosity for nature.
Each deck features 60 beautifully illustrated cards, showcasing the diversity of wildlife found throughout our Golden State. From the hibernating black bear to the elusive mountain lion, each card brings a unique animal to life through vibrant hand-drawn watercolor illustrations.
On the reverse side of each illustration, players will uncover a theme and some facts about the featured animal, alongside thought-provoking questions crafted to ignite meaningful conversations and reflections.

With so much of life happening on screens, we wanted The California Wildlife Conversation Deck to bring people back to genuine, in-person moments and a sense of wonder for the natural world. Whether it’s on a road trip, around the campfire, or just during a cozy night in, this deck invites people of all ages to explore, reflect, and spark meaningful conversations about the world around us.
Our hope ultimately is to bring people closer through shared stories, learning, and reflections that deepen our empathy—for each other and for the natural world. By building community and fostering real connections, we believe we can inspire a more mindful, compassionate way of living in harmony with the world we all share together.
